Nokia PC Suite

The Nokia PC Suite enables you to interact with your phone from your pc. It allows you to backup your important data off of your phone, which is vital in case your phone gets lost or stolen. Not only can you back up data but you can also move it between phones. As well as backing up your contacts, you can also manage them, using the editing tool to either edit existing contact, create or remove them. The calendar is also editable from the PC suite and more importantly you can synchronise your phone with your pc. Allowing you to link your calendar to your PC calendar.

Whilst connected to the PC suite you can manage the files stored on the phone. So you can move music, videos and images between your PC and your phone as well as create CDs directly from your phone. It also allows you to update your phone by using Nokias Software Updater, which will need to be downloaded seperately. You do not have to only install updates you can install other programs from your PC to your phone too and download maps.

Using the PC Suite you can connect to the internet by using your phone as a modem. You can also type text messages on the fly, by using your PC but they send using your phone. So as you can see, there are many different beneficial reasons to use the PC Suite.

How to install Nokia PC Suite

  1. " Browse to Nokia PC Suite web site.
  2. Start the installation by downloading the file.
  3. As you start, the Security Warning window appears. Select Run to begin downloading the installation file. When the download is complete, select Run once again.
  4. Welcome and introduction window opens, select Continue installation to continue.
  5. In order to continue installation, accept the terms and conditions of the license agreement and select Next.
  6. You can select a folder for the installation of Nokia PC Suite. Then, select Continue installation.
  7. Select Continue installation once again to start installing Nokia PC Suite. The installation may take several minutes.
  8. Select Finish to complete the installation.
  9. After the installation is completed, you need to restart your PC for the changes to take effect. You can choose whether to restart your PC right away or later. "
